Website redesign for an Arabic oud and musk brand

Mazoud

A new website for Mazoud, an Arabic oud and musk brand: an editorial home for the brand's story and products, in English and Arabic, that hands buying to the store the brand already uses.

The brief

The existing site was a standard store template. The brand needed a site that feels like its boxes and its oud: warm, unhurried and photographic, without changing how orders, payments or delivery already work.

Mazoud sells through a hosted store on Packman, which handles the cart, payments and delivery. The redesign is the brand website in front of it. It is built and tested, and goes live once the store's address change is confirmed.

What we built

A light, fast static website in English and Arabic. Visitors browse collections, open a product to compare sizes and prices, and continue to the brand's store to buy.

  1. Mazoud home page on desktop: The Essence of True Oud, beside the ivory and copper oud box

    1 of 4

    A first impression

The home page opens on the brand's own box and a short line about what it sells, with the collection one tap away.

  2. The Mazoud cabinet on desktop: oud wood boxes with English and Arabic names, prices and sizes

    The whole collection

Every product, with its name in English and Arabic, its starting price and its sizes. The catalogue matches the live store exactly.

  3. Mazoud product sheet on desktop: Visa Mori, AED 320, sizes and Continue to purchase

    One product at a time

A product opens in a sheet with its photographs, sizes and the price per gram, then continues to the brand's store to buy.

    In Arabic too

The same site in Arabic, right to left, with its own typeface.

Everything in it

  • English and Arabic

Every page in both languages, with the Arabic version laid out right to left.

  • The full catalogue

The 16 products in a filterable cabinet, with each size showing its real price.

  • Product sheets

Photographs with swipe and thumbnails, sizes with the price per gram, and a clear step to purchase.

  • Editorial sections

Oud wood, oils and musk, gifting and the brand's story, alternating light and dark.

  • Motion with restraint

A slideshow, word-by-word headlines and gentle reveals. Everything appears at once for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

  • Tested on every screen

Checked on iPhone, Android, iPad and desktop in both languages: no sideways scrolling and comfortable tap targets.

How we approached it

  • The brand's own materials

Ivory, espresso and copper from the packaging, the floral emboss from the brand's own artwork, and real photography from the brand's shoot. No stock or AI images.

  • True to the store

All 16 products, with names, sizes, prices and stock matching the live store exactly, checked automatically.

  • Nothing changes behind it

Products, payments, orders and delivery stay in the existing store. The site links into it for each purchase.
